At Townsville Airport, you may choose between two parking lots. The entrance of the terminal is designated as a passenger set-down zone. Vehicles with disability parking permits are given double the average time in the drop-off/pick-up zone.

In addition, the pick-up/drop-off area features two marked "Accessible bays" where drivers can pull up to retrieve passengers or drop them off for up to 15 minutes. Any time a vehicle is parked, the driver must be with it, and a current permit must be visible.

Forms of Payment at Townsville Airport

You can either insert your credit card into the machine or press a button to receive a ticket when you enter the parking garages. The final balance is due before check-out. To leave the parking lot using your credit card, you must insert it into the machine once again. On receipt of payment, a receipt will be sent.

Any of the front-facing pay stations accepts cash and major credit cards. Put your ticket in the pay station's slot and hit the receipt button if you need a receipt before making your payment. Just bring that ticket with you and drop it in the place at the exit.
